FOR SALE
Print publication of DDM Mid-Atlantic Region and this website are for sale.
Disabled Dealer Magazine Mid-Atlantic Region: helping buyers and sellers of accessible and medical products: in Metro NY, New Jersey, Eastern PA, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington DC.
Starting in 1998, Kathy Stone was the first publisher of Disabled Dealer Magazine Mid-Atlantic Region, and the entire process of collecting, assembling and producing the magazine was manual, based on sending faxes and printed hard copies. How things have changed!
With the advent of widespread email use and broadband Internet access, the production process evolved, as did the distribution and reach of the magazine. Kathy worked diligently with individuals and organizations throughout the disabled community to make sure they got the most out of the magazine; helping to craft advertisements, enhancing photos, advertising events – anything that would help both the client and the magazine. As a result of those efforts, and the success of individuals and companies selling products through the publication, the distribution of the printed magazine has grown steadily over the years.
Late in 2007, after nine years of owning and running Disabled Dealer Mid Atlantic Region, Kathy Stone decided it was time to pass the reins on to someone else, so she sold the magazine to AVM Publishing, LLC. Kathy is still a consultant and an independent contractor for AVM Publishing.
AVM Publishing (AVMP) is owned by the Accessible Vans and Mobility Alliance which operates Mobility Dealerships in seven locations. AVM has increased the distribution and promotion of the magazine – including the development of this website – to benefit all of our advertisers. Each month over 20,000 copies are mailed to individuals and sent in large packs to libraries, rehab centers, senior centers, and other places of interest for our customers. Our primary goal for this website is to expand electronic distribution, which is much more cost effective and user-friendly – and green – than paper distribution.
We will continually work to improve the website by adding informative and helpful articles, increasing the number of items for sale by both individuals and companies, and improving this website’s ranking with major search engines. This way, all of the stakeholders in Disabled Dealer Magazine will be more successful.
